  • VIDEOS - Uncle Tom's Cabin (Week A).  Order 1987 version of Uncle Tom's Cabin from amazon.com with the book Pink and Say (for Week D).  Other videos relating to the Civil War:   Frederick Douglass, A Woman Called Moses, The Great Locomotive Chase.
  • FABRIC (Week A) Cotton Balls
  • King Cotton Experiments:   Cut two pieces of 100% cotton fabric and two pieces of 100% wool for each student. (4 inch squares are adequate)  Old jeans and old sweaters will do!
  • SCRAPBOOKING ~ Cameras & film (digital cameras), scrapbooking supplies 
  • DIRECTIONS and Items needed for Living History Civil War Camps to be built inside the school--one Northern site and one Southern.   Solid colored sheets/blankets/cloth for at least two tents, sticks to hold up tents, tin cups, old silverware, etc.
